Rotstein nature reserve

Comfortable hiking trails lead you directly to the Rotstein from Sohland. From various vantage points you can enjoy the charming Upper Lusatian landscape and, on a clear day, even see as far as the Jizera and Giant Mountains. The view from the observation tower on the Rotstein is particularly impressive.
Königshain Mountains
Welcome to the Königshain mountains west of Görlitz! This extensive granite area extends over approximately 50 km² and includes striking elevations such as the Kampfberge with the Ahlberg in the south and the Hochstein in the north. The free-standing granite rocks are the remains of over 100 quarried rock towers from over 200 years of quarry history. Today the granite mining museum and numerous quarry holes are silent witnesses of this time.

Muskau Heath

High Dubrau
Welcome to the Hohe Dubrau, also known as the Kollmer Heights! This picturesque hilly region is located in the Görlitz district, near the municipality of Hohendubrau. The name not only refers to the region, but also to the highest peak, which at 307 meters above sea level is the highest elevation in the Upper Lusatian Heath and Pond area. Niederspreer pond area
Discover the Lusatian glacial valley east of the Erlichthof in Rietschen. This diverse landscape includes dry heathland, extensive forests, picturesque ponds and lush grassland, adjacent to the Muskau Heath. Over 60 species of plants, more than 50 species of birds and numerous mammals such as sea eagles, cranes and otters live here. This impressive natural diversity makes the Niederspreer pond area a special natural area.
