With the districts of Kosel, See, Ödernitz and Stannewisch, 10,248 residents live here on 53.6 km².

Welcome to Reichenbach/OL, embedded in a picturesque environment between Rotstein and Königshainer Bergen! The history of the city is closely linked to the VIA REGIA, the medieval trade and military route from Kiev to Santiago de Compostela. The first documented mention of the city dates back to 1280. At the beginning of the 13th century, the Bohemian kings systematically founded urban settlements along this important road, and Reichenbach was also one of them.
A variety of testimonies from the past and present invite you to get to know each other. The best thing to do is to see for yourself – by enriching the city as a guest!
Rothenburg/OL
Welcome to Rothenburg OL, the easternmost small town on the Neisse! The town has enchanted you with its lively history since 1268. The medieval structures with the town hall, market square and “cobblestones suitable for carriages” have been lovingly preserved.
The city was long shaped by the Martin family, as the Martinshof and the Martin Ulbrich House show. Rothenburg was the district seat until 1945, after which it passed to Niesky.
