There are 530 plant species around the Rotstein, Saxony's oldest nature reserve. A nature trail leads from Sohland to the 455 meter high summit, from which the view extends to the Jizera and Giant Mountains.
The Königshain mountains offer beautiful hiking trails along former quarries. Popular destinations are the Teufelsstein and the Hochstein with its observation tower.
