Exhibition Pückler! Pückler!

The exhibition “Pückler! Pickler? Simply unbelievable!” offers you an entertaining journey through his dazzling life. Experience Pückler on carriage rides, in the theater, in films and through fascinating exhibits. Despite the many insights, the versatile prince simply remains elusive.

Weißwasser Glass Museum

Discover the fascinating history of Weißwasser, once the center of globally important glass production. Visit the glass museum in Edmund Gelsdorf's historic villa, where an impressive collection of glass products and tools awaits you. Immerse yourself in the world of Wilhelm Wagenfeld, a pioneer of glass design who left his mark here. Experience the exciting connections between the industrial development of Weißwasser and the rich raw material history of the Muskau fold on a guided tour.

Sagar Museum

Discover and experience the development from crafts to industry in seven buildings and outdoor areas in the Muskau fold area. Almost 4,000 exhibits await you here, from steam engines to dollhouses. Visit the sawmill, site of a board mill mentioned in the 16th century, and see woodworking machines in operation. The ceramic collection includes vessels from 350 years ago, 1000 liter stoneware containers from the industrial age and current products from regional potters, roofing and wall tiles.

Reichenbach Agricultural Citizens Museum

In the small, originally rebuilt house with its courtyard and garden you can gain an insight into the life of the so-called “farmers” around 1900. In addition to their work in the factory, in trade and commerce, the residents of Reichenbach ran modest farming as a sideline to secure their livelihood. Every inner-city property also had a small field in front of the city. The reconstructed interior of the house reflects the small-town way of life.

Konrad Wachsmann House

Discover and experience architectural innovation and historical significance in the Konrad Wachsmann House in Niesky. This wooden house, built in 1927 based on a design by Konrad Wachsmann, is an outstanding example of industrialized wooden house construction. After extensive restoration work, it was reopened in 2014 with the permanent exhibition “Modern Wooden Buildings,” which highlights the development of industrial wooden house construction.

Niesky Museum

Today you can visit the museum and the tourist information in Niesky's oldest house, named after its builder Johann Raschke. The permanent exhibition tells episodes from our city's history in exciting exhibits and photographs. Did you know that Niesky is home to one of the oldest school gymnasiums in Germany, that the Herrnhut Advent Star was invented by a mathematics teacher from Niesky and that famous products such as the “Hecht” tram type, the Norderelbe Bridge in Hamburg and the “Christoph Diesel Engine” in the Niesky factories were manufactured?

Aviation Technology Museum Rothenburg

Markersdorf Village Museum

Immerse yourself in the eventful rural life of 100 years ago! A four-sided courtyard that is around 250 years old brings a bygone world to life. Authentically designed living and utility rooms as well as animal residents take you back in time. Explore the farm garden with forgotten vegetables and spicy herbs as well as an orchard with regional apple varieties. Visit a village school from around 1900 in the converted outhouse. Discover this fascinating world of rural life from back then in the Markersdorf Village Museum, which shows traditional customs and traditional agricultural work.

Görlitz Natural History Museum

Discover the nature of Upper Lusatia in the Görlitz Natural History Museum with the highest species richness in Germany. In fascinating dioramas you can experience wolves, sea eagles, otters and cranes up close. The museum also shows the geological history of the region and is a successful end to any visit to Görlitz.
